For all our work OSSS produce risk assessments, method statements, site safety assessments, recommendations and reports and train your staff where necessary. We support your health and safety adviser in pre-production, recces, location development and filming.
OSSS can production with local knowledge of suitable filming locations and location scouting, with an extensive portfolio of work in Bristol, the South West, Cardiff, South Wales, and beyond.
We work with the producers in pre production to create a safe filming environment and liaise with the location and production insurers to ensure safe methods of working. Where conditions demand working outside standard Health and Safety Law we replace law with interpretation and advice. We can provide dynamic filmed on-set risk assessments which are sent immediately to production staff and insurers.
OSSS are involved in planning stages with advice on building of sets and preparation of in vision and out of vision equipment (and rescue equipment).
During filming we have safety measures to determine when it is acting or real life, and know when to step in.
Specialisms include working at height, climbing, caving, water, helicopters, man made structures and remote and coastal locations. During our 30 years we have experience most kinds of difficult filming locations.
Our Safety Directors are emergency first responders and ALL staff are qualified in remote outdoor first aid as well as being technical experts.
