The main character braves her fear of the dark to treat patients trapped in a cave system, but it soon becomes apparent that both are seriously injured and she needs support.
This was one of our most challenging shoots in appalling weather conditions. Shown below are various shots detailing our preparation of the cave entrance, which we later had to abandon due to the heavy rain making it collapse around us; a light reflecting screen flown over a 50′ deep hole; abseiling the actors into it, an artificial cave constructed from our advice in a studio, and finally pulling the heroine out! We also provided abseil training and real cave experience for the main actors.
Then we thankfully moved into a nice dry studio where we advised on the construction of a 30′ high artificial cave (below) with abseiling doctors, an underground rescue scene and falling rocks.
