Caves and confined spaces present their own unique set of challenges. The can often present dramatic and desirable visual images, but hazards can easily become unmitigated risks if not managed skilfully. There have been examples of film shoots in caves resulting in crew members being left underground unaccounted for at the end of a shoot. We fully risk assess the implications of working in caves and confined spaces and use experts in the field to ensure that all risks are clear, and that the necessary safety measures are in place to ensure that accidents are avoided.
Sometimes accidents do happen; a twisted ankle or a medical emergency. The seriousness of these are compounded when underground or in a confined space. Our cave rescue experts are on hand should a genuine emergency occur.
