Location filming has significantly more risks than studio work. Extreme environments may not be what you might picture. Any environment may be classed as extreme if there is unmitigated or unknown risk – They don’t just have to be up a mountain or on a remote island.
As an example, a simple grassy bank that you would walk your dog on may become a risk if you add a full film crew, regular footfall and just the slightest amount of rain. In an extreme environment, whilst people are focused on their jobs, our focus is ensuring the safety of cast and crew.
